Music for the Ceremony
Religious services will usually include a church organist, but why not add a personal touch with a solo trumpeter or harpist as well. For any type of ceremony brides may choose to walk in to a traditional piper, or, for a more modern feel, a solo saxophone. A singer to perform whilst the register is signed can also make a lasting impression.
The choice of repertoire is entirely up to you. Your favourite melodies can easily be arranged for the musical ensemble of your choice. Always remember that religious music cannot be used in a civil ceremony – if in doubt check with your registrar.
Music for the Reception
There are so many different styles of reception and just as many musical options to complement them!
You may choose a string quartet or classical duo for a post ceremony drinks reception. Alternatively a steel pan band can add a more carnival-like atmosphere for your canapés.
It always adds to the ambience of a sit down dinner to have live background music. You may want a solo pianist to play smooth jazz or light classical repertoire, or a small dinner jazz band to serenade you. Our duos and trios can accompany a meal just as successfully as a drinks reception.
Many weddings include an evening party and for this you may want a jazz or funk band as well as a DJ with light sets – our musicians can provide whatever genre of music you want to keep your guests dancing all night long.
